1. Boink Boink Boink
Ever since my first visit to the Australian continent I have been in love with these funny creatures called kangaroos. They may be pesky and a plague in some regions, they may be road kill and loosing the battle against roo guards - I don't care. To watch them bounce all over the place, to see a joey do a 180 after jumping into mama's pouch, to watch them curiously explore every pocket or bag in sight - they are a joy to be around. I do eat them off the barbie, I do like them cooked the Aboriginal way - they are always and everywhere part of my Australian experience.

8. French History
The picturesque town of Akaroa, nearby Christchurch in New Zealand, has French savoir vivre to offer, along with obligatory Dolphin swims.

This very entertaining form of football is best enjoyed in the company of locals at one of Australia's largest stadiums, the Melbourne Cricket Grounds.
10. Croc Danger
This traditional river crossing in Aboriginal lands near Darwin may look romantic but hides its true nature: It is infested with estuarine crocodiles.
