1. Rapa Nui Magic
Once they have reached the most isolated place on earth, Easter Island casts a mystic spell over the few true globetrotters who have managed to make it there. The ahi host the puzzling moai statues, spiritual expression of an old population with only 2,800 left today in the only village of the island, Hanga Roa. To this day, scientists have found no explanation how a culture without advanced technical knowledge was able to carve these monoliths out of a volcanic mountain side, transport them for many kilometers across the island, and erect them on their final resting spots, sometimes even adorning their heads with a second monolith weighing several tons.
