1. Zambezi Bridge
One of the natural wonders of this earth, the Smoke That Thunders, or in new-colonial English Victoria
Falls, is formed by the mighty Zambezi river on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The falls
offer entirely different experiences when watched from either side of the river, hence from either country.
The Zimbabwe side offers spectacular panoramic views from the opposite edge of the falls, while the Zambia side
is a powerful in-your-face experience where getting absolutely soaked is part of the fun, especially when attempting
to cross the Knife's Edge bridge. The border posts are far apart and establish a no-man's-land of about
two kilometers length. The only marker reminding of the border is in the center of the Zambezi Bridge.
