1. Asahi Beer Froth
Corporate Japan is considered to be rather conservative, devoted to traditions and respect for seniority. Nevertheless,
extravagant displays of corporate power are omnipresent, such as the headquarters of the Asahi brewing
company, a top player in Asian markets. This modernistic roof ornament is supposed to represent the froth on top
of a freshly filled beer glass; to me it looks more like a stylish flame but maybe that was intentional. Either
way, it is a great contribution to a more relaxed look of a rather stiff office tower skyline.
