1. Top of the World
As some of you might know, I learned to snowboard when living in California, no kidding. The greatest place on earth to ski and snowboard, though, is in this tiny village called Livigno, a tax and customs-free Italian outpost in the Swiss Engadin Alps region. Vast regions of unbelievably long runs, countless express lifts to never wait more than a minute or two, if at all, pretty much a snow guarantee, and a great party atmosphere. There are great places to stay, it is affordable, and you can always make it down to the Italian Bagni Vecchi, the historic thermal baths in Bormeo, for those sore muscles. The third time that I spent a week there, and for sure not the last time.

The Kingdom in the Sky, with its lowest point higher than that of any other country on earth, at its Gate of Paradise pass.

The famous Japanese volcano Mt. Fuji unfortunately shrouds itself in thick layers of clouds. This was as good a view as I could get.
7. Port of World's End
That's the name of the port of Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. The mountains in the background give it the real kick, though.

This gigantic glacier calves icebergs into Jökullsárlón, a beautiful lake at the foot of Hvannadalshnúkur mountain in Iceland.
