1. The Navimag Cruise
The freighter Magallanes is somewhat of an insider tip among independent travellers to South America - rightfully so! Four days through Chile's fjords of Patagonia from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales with about 100 other backpackers through rugged nature and wild weather are a memorable experience. Dusky dolphins chasing the bow waves, extremely narrow passages for a ship this size, mystical thick clouds, a visit to the remote fishing village of Eden... just pure relaxing fun. And to top things off, the beds are probably the best I have slept in during my entire world tour and after dark there's only one place for everybody to go to - the bar!
